I'm Ben Stone. I grew up in Los Gatos, California, learned to program in high school AP CS, and finished CS at UC Davis in three years. I joined Vitesse Automation as an intern in 2022 and went full-time in 2024. Over the last 14 months I've built the modern Vitesse platform from scratch, almost entirely with Claude Code, and shipped it to paying customers in France and the United States.

Vitesse is the day-to-day, but the work bleeds into broader interests: applied generative AI, software architecture, engineering management, robotics, and advertising. I'm currently developing Stone Industries / CASA in public — a classical-architecture humanoid robot company — and writing on whatever I find interesting along the way.
